Reachable Bitcoin nodes by country

Reachable Bitcoin nodes as seen by the BTC Nodes crawler, placed approximately by IP address (DB-IP Lite) and counted by country, with a daily history. No node address is published; countries with fewer than 5 nodes show only their count.

Licence status: pending. The underlying node list comes from BTC Nodes (btcnodes.io), whose terms do not state a data licence; we have asked the operator for written permission. Bitcoin Years' own work on top of it (country assignment, aggregation, history) will be offered under CC BY 4.0 once that is confirmed. IP geolocation (DB-IP) and population (World Bank) are CC BY 4.0.

Dormant early coins

Early Bitcoin addresses that have not moved for over a decade, and the block rewards that share the Patoshi mining pattern, checked every week.

Sleeping giants: our own checks of the public Bitcoin blockchain, CC BY 4.0. Patoshi file: licence under review until every reward has been re-checked with sources that allow reuse (oldest check on file: 2026-11-06; this happens automatically within a few weeks).
